the leaves fall
and turn an autumnal auburn
once lively and loud
now sweeping the ground
yet i still hear them
the temperatures fall
and conjure the crisp air
once whimsically warm
now clouded by storms
yet i still feel it
an autumn so somber
can cause you to ponder
what about this dreary season
brings one to continue to wander
