College: What's Next?

Many of you may have gotten your acceptance letters to colleges you have applied to, or you will within the next month or so. Next steps for many students include finding scholarships. Here is a simple list below that may help with finding scholarships:

• Check the WCHS scholarship page: https://wchsscholarship.weebly.com/wchs-scholarship-list.html

• Check the community scholarship page- local businesses, etc. may have scholarships

• Check CFNC https://www.cfnc.org/pay-for-college/scholarship-search/

• Check for school specific scholarships, every college has scholarships you can apply for for that specific school

• Check for job specific scholarships, Starbucks, McDonalds, etc often have scholarships

• Google search, there are a lot of websites that have lists of scholarships

Try not to procrastinate! Write out all the scholarships you plan to apply for and work on them, many due dates are coming up!
